France has a pleasant, temperate climate free of drastic weather changes like in some other countries. There are four broad climatic zones:
Paris, located in the central area of France, is probably the most variable of the climates. Downpours and thunderstorms are likely in spring and summer but it warms up and dries out in July and August. Waterproof outerwear is recommended throughout the year in mountainous regions while sweaters are commonly used in the cooler evenings closer to sea level. Depending on which part of the country you’re in, you can experience all four seasons we typically experience here in Idaho. There are moderate changes in weather throughout the year with one season fading into the next. The mild climate of France makes it a popular destination all year round. |
